Meet the Staff
Bart is a co-owner of ELITE Physical Therapy. He has been in private practice in Alexandria since graduating from LSU Medical Center in New Orleans in 1985. He is extensively trained in manual physical therapy techniques of the spine and extremities. He received his Doctorate Degree (DPT) through the EIM Executive Management Program in 2010. He is a certified ASTYM provider and certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling.
Bart and his wife, Sissy, are raising 2 daughters, Madeline and Margaret, here in Alexandria. He is an avid golfer and runner, having completed 18 marathons. A member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Bart is also involved in the Private Practice Section, the Orthopedic Section, the Sports Physical Therapy Section, and the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association. He is a clinical instructor for several institutions including, LSU, St. Augustine University, and Louisiana College.
Bart has served his community and church in various capacities over the years including the Board of Commissioners of the England Economic and Industrial Development District (England Authority) through the appointment by the City of Alexandria.
Don has been a licensed, practicing Physical Therapist with ELITE since July 2000. He and Bart are grateful for the community support of Elite Physical Therapy, a physical therapists’ owned practice.
Don is one of two of the only physical therapists in Alexandria/Pineville to have earned a Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Don specializes in the evaluation of the foot and ankle, manual therapy skills of the spine and extremities, he possesses Level 1 and 2 certifications in Trigger Point Dry Needling through Kinetacore and is an ASTYM provider.
Don served in a governor appointed positioned on the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board from September, 2014-September 2017, serving as Chairman in 2017. Don earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Benedictine College, where he was a four year letterman in basketball. He earned his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in May of 2000 from University of St. Augustine and his Doctorate degree from Evidence in Motion in 2012.
Since 2000, Don has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Louisiana Physical Therapy Association, where he is involved in the Private Practice and Orthopedic Sections. He serves as a clinical instructor for several institutions including, LSU, St. Augustine University and Louisiana College.
Don is an accomplished athlete and weekend warrior. He has hiked 52 Tunnels in Southern Dolomites, The Grand Canyon, traversed the Rockies, completed 9 Ironman triathlons, and numerous marathons. Don, his wife Elizabeth and son Connor enjoy fitness, adventure, travel and the great outdoors.
A Pineville native, Julia has been a practicing physical therapist since 2006. Julia graduated with a BS in Biology from Louisiana College in 2004 where she was a starting soccer player for four years. She received her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2006 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009, both from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport.
Julia’s primary focus has been on Neuro-Development Treatment (NDT) for adults and pediatrics, gait and kinesiotaping. Her hands-on experience also includes inpatient and acute care orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.
Julia and her husband Dwain are proud parents of three beautiful children and and expecting a fourth child in Spring 2021.
Marcus was born and raised in Pineville. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Louisiana College in 2016. In May 2019, Marcus graduated from the University LSU Health Sciences in Shreveport, LA with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy.
Marcus is one of two of the only physical therapists in Alexandria/Pineville to have earned a Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Marcus is certified through Kinetacore in Trigger Point Dry Needling. He also is Emergency Response for the Athlete (ERA) certified and sidelines at many Cenla student sports games.
Marcus resides in Pineville and enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and friends, and watching sports of all kinds.
Juliana is originally a Midwesterner who has now called Louisiana her home since 2015 after graduating from physical therapy school. Juliana received her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Louis University in Missouri in 2013 and continued there to receive her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy in 2015.
Prior to joining the Elite team, Juliana worked locally in inpatient rehabilitation teaching patients how to return back to their prior level of function after planned surgery or unexpected accidents.
She also worked intensively with those with neurological conditions such as stroke, Multiple sclerosis, and Guillain-Barre.
Juliana joined the Elite team in 2019 and enjoys working with patients to treat both orthopedic and neurological conditions. She is currently pursuing advanced certifications in Dry Needling through Kineticor and her Manual Therapy Certification through Evidence in Motion.
Juliana and her husband Tylar reside in Colfax and are proud parents to their son, Elliot and a baby daughter, Sophia. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling around the world, scuba diving, exercising and cooking.
Brandi graduated from Louisiana College in 2005 with a degree in Athletic Training. After working with Rehabilitation Specialists (now ELITE Physical Therapy) for a number of years, she decided to return to school at Bossier Parish Community College, receiving her physical therapist assistant (PTA) degree in 2007. Brandi has extensive experience with orthopedic conditions, particularly post-operative care.
Brandi and husband Eric are the proud parents of their two boys Liam and Eli.
Carol graduated from Northwestern State University in 1984. She was a Clinical Research Associate at UTMB in Galveston, TX and LSUMC in New Orleans handling Phase III drug studies. When her two daughters were born, she decided to pursue the fun and demands of a stay at home mom.
In 2009, Carol enrolled in Louisiana College’s Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program. Upon receiving her PTA license in 2011, Carol joined the team at ELITE Physical Therapy. In September of 2019, Carol completed the Gray Institute for Functional Transformations Fellowship and became a Fellow of Applied Functional Science™ (FAFS). Applied Functional Science is basically the effects that gravity, ground reaction forces, mass, and momentum have on your patient. FAFS allows Carol to become a much more efficient and effective practitioner, especially in the areas of assessment, training and conditioning, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. She also has extensive experience in post-operative care and orthopedics. Carol and her wonderful husband, Kevin Vercher, enjoy life with their 5 adult children.
Lynsey was born and raised in Alexandria and is a lifelong resident of the area. She started as a Physical Therapy Tech in 2011 in inpatient rehab until she graduated from Louisiana College’s Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program in 2013. Lynsey is experienced in neurological and orthopedic care. She is currently enrolled in Evidence in Motion’s PTA Specialty Certification in Orthopaedics Program.
Lynsey lives in Deville, LA with her husband Michael and her four dogs. She enjoys spending time hunting, fishing and being out on the boat as much as she can.
In 2011, Brittany graduated from Blue Cliff College, receiving her license in Massage Therapy. After practicing massage therapy for 8 years, Brittany decided to further her education and enrolled in Louisiana College’s Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
Brittany lives in Pineville, LA with her husband Derek and her fur baby, Sadie. Brittany enjoys spending time fishing, camping and all outdoor activities. Most importantly, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Bruce is the owner of Injury Management Services, LLC, the sister company to Rehabilitation Specialists. Bruce is highly trained in the industrial and work-related applications of occupational therapy. He provides consulting services to various industries, including work site evaluation, job description preparation, pre-work screens, FCE’s, and specializes clinically in treatment of the elbow, wrist and hand.
Bruce lives in Alexandria, LA with his wife, Lee and their children, Cole, Brooks and Mary. He is very involved with youth soccer and his church.
Tricia is a native of Alexandria, LA and graduated from LSU Medical Center in Shreveport in 1989 with a degree in Physical Therapy. She has worked in various areas of Physical Therapy practice throughout her career. These include the Acute Care Hospital setting, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Industrial Rehabilitation, Home Health and Outpatient Orthopedics in both Alexandria and Baton Rouge.
A focus on family influenced Tricia to move back to Alexandria in 1999. She and her husband, Paul, have been able to care for family members, as well as raise their four children in an environment of traditional family values within her large extended Central Louisiana family. Tricia and Paul are actively involved in multiple capacities of their Church organization.
Tricia, through her extensive experience in multiple areas, enjoys working with people that have orthopedic, neurological and balance difficulties. After her father’s diagnosis with Parkinson’s Disease, she focused her continuing education on evidenced based treatments to enhance the lifestyle of people with this diagnosis by training them to move and maintain independent function. This education background includes certification in PWR! Moves from Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery. Tricia has expanded her training to include the treatment of vertigo and dizziness disorders, with a goal to help improve her patient’s ability to decrease their risk of falling and improve their balance. Finally, Tricia has been using Kinesiotape techniques since 2010, using it to help decrease swelling and bruising, while stabilizing joints and improving muscle function across all patient diagnoses.
